Chief of Police

The Chief is a twenty-five (25) year veteran of the Scranton Police Department. He has been the current Chief of Police in the City of Scranton since July of 2012. In addition to his current position within the Scranton Police Department, he has held the ranks of Patrolman, Detective Sergeant, and Captain. He also previously served seven (7) years as a narcotics investigator in the Scranton Police Department Narcotics Unit with the final three (3) years as the supervisor of that unit. The Chief holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Luzerne County Community College, a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Keystone College, a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, is a 2006 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va. and is a 2016 graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. He is also an instructor at the Lackawanna College Police Academy.
